KMx Solutions

KMx is an essential tool for every industry and many common applications. Please see some of the more common solutions by application and industry below.

Maximize Productivity

High productivity is a hallmark of the ability to manage, delegate, monitor, and prioritize tasks and deadlines. Control over employee workload is required for EVERY company at some level or another.

An essential component of the KM Executive online suite of tools is the powerful task engine that facilitates the creation of tasks with contact assignments, due dates, priorities, hours and dependencies. Tasks [referred to as 'Activities' in KMx] also share the tagging, commenting and watching capabilities of other KMx components which makes them ideal for documenting general notes and information in addition to communicating assignments.

KMx recognizes the importance of being able to create tasks easily and quickly. With this in mind the required information for a new task requires only a name for the task and a contact person. The more detailed information required to take advantage of advanced features can be added at any time.

There are several options available to relate and enter tasks and define dependencies. Tasks may be entered individually, in a table format to create a simple list or they can be entered in outline format to dictate parent/child relationships and dependencies. Regardless of the entry format used tasks can always be related by tags. The most important feature is that tasks can always be re-organized if relationships change. Again, flexibility is important to lower the barrier of entry for information. Creating a task cannot be complicated if people are expected to do it in the heat of battle.

The login dashboard lists all tasks a user is watching in addition to due dates for assigned and 'watched' tasks. [Note-if you are watching a task you are following it but are not assigned to it]. If a comment is added to a task or it is updated the item is starred on the dashboard list so a user understands that attention is required.

The breadth and depth of features available makes KMx an ideal tool to manage multiple projects and team members. The 'assignments' view allows a project manager to follow up with all of their assigned responsibilities as well as delegated tasks and identify which items required follow-up.

The power of KMx as a productivity booster unfolds by gleaning task information from the following reports:

Completion Report
Summarize project/task completion by viewing % complete based on the hours assigned to a task and it's children or the number of children tasks that are complete.
Contact Load Report
Graphically review the workload of each contact. Adjust assignments to establish an even workload distribution.
Capacity Utilization
Based on a billable rate for each user, hours assigned, and a customizable benchmark this report calculates the performance of each user. The percentage of hours vs. the benchmark is reported as well as the percentage of hours that are actually billed.
